Renter flood disclosure blog

In response to the growing number of states passing laws requiring landlords to disclose their rental units’ flood risks to prospective tenants, I co-authored a blog post examining the scope and variation among these laws. While roughly two-thirds of states have laws requiring property sellers to disclose flood risks to prospective buyers, only eleven states require the same for landlords and tenants (up from four in 2017). Take a look at the post here to learn more about how renter flood disclosure laws vary in their applicability and specific provisions across the US.
